Format
The class is taught through a combination of lecture, group discussion, and small group exercises, designed to help you identify and change established patterns of behavior that hinder spiritual development.
A counseling model
Issues of the Heart provides a dynamic counseling model developed to help the counselor get to the root of the problem through a method of inquiry by which the counselee discovers for himself what is motivating his actions.
Pastors and church leaders will learn how to help others work through their problems without them becoming dependent on the one providing the help.
Participants discover how to impart to others the tools necessary for living a Christ-centered life.

- How can you have power over your enemies?
- What is the key to developing trusting relationships?
- What are the 5 most common and damaging deceptions?
- How can you be free of controlling influences in your life?

About the teacher
Since 1979, Denise Walsh has served as part of the leadership team of Mercy Christian Fellowship, pastored by her husband. She has taught Issues of the Heart for over 10 years to Christian leaders and churches in several countries. During the course, Denise shares candidly her own struggles that led to the discovery of the biblical truths outlined in this study.
